Mention Context
Type@ to open the mention picker. Browse a category or type to search, then select a result to insert an inline mention and keep writing. One message can mention several kinds of context.
You can also drag a file or folder from the File Tree into the composer to insert an inline mention. See Attachments and voice.
Slash Commands And Skills
Type/ or $ to open the command list. Both show the same list: the selected coding agent’s own commands and skills, plus Traycer’s side-chat commands.
A coding agent’s own commands work only at the start of a message. Further into a message they stay in the list but are greyed out, with “This command is only allowed at the start of the message”.
Side Chats
Type/btw or /side followed by a question to ask it in a forked copy of the conversation, without interrupting the agent. The side chat is titled “Side - ” plus your question, and opens next to the chat you asked from. Change where it opens with Side chats in Opening behavior.
Drafts
What you type in a composer is saved as a draft as you go, so an unsent prompt is never lost. A start-page draft keeps the prompt together with its coding agent, model, and other run settings, its interface (Chat or Terminal), and its workspace folders. Closing a start-page tab that has text keeps the draft; closing an empty one discards it. Sending the prompt turns the draft into a new Task. On the start page, press ⌘S / Ctrl+S, or click the Drafts button on the composer, to list your start-page drafts. Use the arrow keys to move through the list.
When you have none, the list reads “No drafts here yet”.
All Drafts
Choose Drafts in the account menu or the command palette to see every draft in one dialog: start-page drafts, unsent chat messages, and unsent Start a new agent prompts. Search them, and filter by This task (inside a Task), Other tasks, and Start pages. Opening a draft takes you back to where you wrote it. A start-page draft reopens as a tab, a chat draft opens its chat, and a new-agent draft reopens Start a new agent in its Task. Start-page and new-agent drafts can follow you to your other devices while you are signed in. A draft of a chat message stays with the host where you wrote it.Quote A Reply
Select text in an assistant reply and click Quote. The selection becomes a blockquote in the composer, with space below it for your follow-up. To turn the Quote button off, clear Quote reply on text selection in General settings, under Chat & composer.Context Usage
When the coding agent reports it, a chip beside the composer shows how much of the context window is left, for example “62% context left”. Click it to open the breakdown: Used, Fresh, Cache read, Cache write, and Output. Pin breakdown keeps a summary strip visible near the composer. The icon next to the chip, Compact conversation, summarizes the conversation to free space. It appears when the coding agent supports compacting on request. Progress and the resulting token counts appear in the transcript. If a turn is running, compaction is queued to run next.Expand The Composer On A Phone
In the phone layout, on Home and in a conversation, pull up from the composer’s top edge to open it as a larger sheet over the page. It works with any draft, even an empty one.- The edge has no visible handle. Start the pull just above the first line of text.
- The sheet follows your finger and settles open or closed depending on how far you pull. A tap does nothing.
- Pull down from the top edge to shrink it again. Sending a message also returns it to its compact size.
- The editor keeps focus throughout, so the keyboard stays up.
