A turn that changes files or artifacts shows a Changes card beneath the assistant response, for example “Changes · 3 files · 1 artifact”. Its Undo button opens Undo this turn?. Restore returns those files to their state at the start of the turn. If later turns changed the same files, those later changes are reverted too.
  1. Click Undo on the Changes card.
  2. Review the files listed in the dialog. A file that can’t be restored is marked Skipped; hover it to see why.
  3. Leave Also revert N artifacts checked to restore the turn’s artifacts as well, or clear it to restore files only.
  4. Click Restore and wait for progress to finish.
  5. Check the result toast for restored, skipped, and failed counts. Show details lists any files that were skipped or failed.
Undo leaves the conversation as it is; no messages are removed. Check Git Diff afterward, since skipped or failed files may still need attention. To go back to an earlier message and send something different instead, edit that message. See Message actions.

When Undo Is Unavailable

The Undo button is disabled, and its tooltip says why, when:
  • you are not the agent’s owner. Only the owner can restore files.
  • you are on a different device. Changes can be restored only on the host that captured them.
  • a turn is running. Wait for it to finish, or stop it, first.
  • the turn has nothing left to restore.

Undo All Of An Agent’s Changes

The Files changed panel above the composer lists every file the agent has changed, with its line counts. The same limits apply: only the agent’s owner can revert, only on the host that captured the changes, and not while a turn is running. To fold the panel into a small chip, set Files changed in Layout › Composer.
