History is the place to find Tasks you have worked on before. It is a Task-level view, not a chat transcript view. Open History when you want to return to earlier work, find a shared Task, or clean up Tasks you no longer need.

What History Shows

Each History row represents a Task. Rows can show:
  • Task title
  • last updated time
  • linked repositories
  • linked workspace folders
  • whether the Task is yours or shared with you
Opening a row opens that Task.

Search, Filter, And Sort

History has search and filters for narrowing long lists of Tasks.
ControlWhat it changes
SearchFinds Tasks by title and linked repository.
OwnershipFilters between your Tasks and shared Tasks.
RepositoriesFilters by linked repo.
WorkspacesFilters by linked workspace folder.
SortOrders Tasks by most recent, oldest, title, or relevance.
When search text is active, relevance can be used as the sort order.

Managing History

History supports management actions for Tasks you can edit.
ActionWhat it does
OpenOpens the selected Task.
RenameChanges the Task title.
SelectEnters selection mode for bulk actions.
DeleteDeletes selected Tasks when your permission allows it.
RefreshReloads the History list.
Viewer-only shared Tasks may not allow rename or delete actions.

What History Is Not

History is not the same as the Chats panel.
  • Use History to find and open Tasks.
  • Use Chats to continue a conversation or terminal-agent session inside an open Task.
  • Use Artifacts to find specs, tickets, stories, and reviews inside a Task.
History helps you get back to the right Task. The Task’s panels hold the actual work surfaces and documents.
