# Sign In

> Sign in to Traycer Desktop, approve the sign-in in your browser, and sign out or switch accounts.

Traycer Desktop signs you in through your browser. You approve each sign-in there, so the app never sees your password.

You can sign in with GitHub, Google, Apple, or a one-time code sent to your email.

The quickest way to sign in the mobile app is to link it from Traycer Desktop. See [Mobile App](/account/mobile-app#sign-in).

## Sign In

    On the **Welcome to Traycer** screen, click **Sign in**. Traycer opens a sign-in page in your default browser.

  <Step title="Approve in the browser">
    Sign in to the web page if you are not signed in already. The page asks **Approve this sign-in?** and shows a code. Check that it matches the code in the app, then click **Approve**. Click **Deny** if you did not start this sign-in.

  <Step title="Return to the app">
    The app shows **Waiting for approval** until you approve, then finishes signing in on its own.

### If the Browser Does Not Open

Expand **Use code instead** in the app. It shows a **Device code** and an **Approval address**. Open the address in any browser, on this machine or another device, and approve the sign-in there with that code.

## Sign Out

Open the avatar menu and choose **Sign out**.

To sign out a different device, or every device at once, use [Sessions](/settings/account#sessions).

## Switch Accounts

Sign out, then sign in again. On the approval page, choose **Use a different account** to sign in to the web page with the other account.
